How to Wash Hand Tied Extensions with the Right Technique

Hair extensions are a great way to add length and volume to your hair without having to spend hours at the salon every week. They’re also a great way to change your look quickly. But there are a few things you need to keep in mind when washing them.

Start by Washing Your Hair

First, wash your hair as usual. Then, use a wide tooth comb to gently separate the strands of your hair into sections. Next, apply shampoo to each section and work through the entire head. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.

Apply Shampoo to The Roots of Your Hair

After rinsing out the shampoo, apply conditioner to the ends of your hair. Work through the entire head using small circular motions. Rinse thoroughly until there is no more suds.

Rinse out Thoroughly

Once you’ve finished washing your hair, use a wide tooth comb to gently remove any tangles. If you have very thick hair, you might need to use a brush instead.

Blow Dry Your Hair Using a Round Brush or Paddle Brush

After you blow dry your hair, apply a leave-in conditioner to help seal in moisture. Then, use a wide tooth combs to gently remove any tangling.

Finish by Applying Conditioner to the Ends of Your Hair

Once you’ve removed the tangles, rinse out the conditioner and then apply a leave-in conditioning treatment to the roots of your hair. This will help prevent split ends and keep your hair looking shiny and healthy.
